Everton signed Gareth Barry on a season-long loan deal on the last day of the transfer window in 2013.

At 32 years old, Barry is a Premier League winner, as well as an FA Cup winner and has over 50 England caps and having captained his country.

Gareth was part of Brighton's youth set-up before switching to Aston Villa and making his senior debut in central defence aged just 17.

He soon became a regular for the Midlands outfit, playing in central defence, at full-back and in midfield. Barry played in the 2000 FA Cup final and shortly afterwards won his first England cap after being called up by Kevin Keegan.

He snubbed the redshite in 2008, and joined Man City for £12m in 2009, becoming a regular straight away.

He started in City's 2011 FA Cup final win over Stoke City and played in 34 of the 38 Premier League games the following season as the Citizens marched to the title.

Barry was approaching 500 Premier League appearances when he joined the Blues and was set to move into the all-time top 10.

After a great first season on loan in 2013/14, Gaz signed a 3 year contract for The Toffees.
