Mirallas Uncertain Of Awkward Everton Future
Bookmark and Share

It seems every time Kevin Mirallas talks to the Belgian press about his future at Everton, it always looks as though he's not convinced about staying.

Whether its another case of 'lost in translation' remains to be seen.

Only last month the 27 year old was having to clear the air saying "I see next season in the same shirt"

Kevin said: "Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid were interested but Everton obliged me to stay at the club. I understood because our young group had performed below expectations. So I had to stay.

"But in the second half of the season I was suddenly playing less games. There are promises broken and it makes for a somewhat awkward relationship with the coach. Soon, I will have a conversation with him.

"I have had a beautiful three years with Everton. I have experienced many great moments and for that I must thank the club. I don't know whether I will leave, it is a decision I have to make in consultation with my family."

Totally agree with the comments above. Mirallas is definitely the most gifted player in the squad. When will Martinez start properly managing his team & choose the best players, not his favourites, this season has been one of the worst i have seen by Everton in a decade.

He's Everton's most gifted player, but we see Osman and Naismith getting picked ahead of him. If I was Mirallas I'd be gone tomorrow. Martinez's man-management is so poor he's going to drive players out of this club. Cleverly is another good example of a player who will get too many games instead of better quality players. Most managers play their best players, but Martinez is obsessed with his favourites.

It's a pity he likes to wash his laundry in public. He's a talented player and when he's focused on the team he can contribute. He needs to do everyone a favour, stop playing with smoke and mirrors and say what the hell he wants. I'd love him to stay, but if he does he needs to focus on delivering and cut the crap. If he wants to go, then fine.

On the one hand I can understand him not always putting in a full shift, as he is probably just as pissed off with RM's methods as everybody else is. However, if he is serious about a move, then he has to radically 'up' his game in order to engender any serious external interest. EFC will carry on - with or without him.

A good,if not great player, who seems to play for Kevin rather than the team at the best of times. Like the other Belgians their comments to the press back home seem to show that they only care for their own development. Whether it them the press or their agents I am not convinced, but it can't go down too well in the dressing room surely

Utterly bored of you Kevin. Jumped up prima donna. Yeah you're half decent, but you're not what you think you are... Too many stories circulating that are "misconstrued". Just do one will ya.

Mirallas is a great player and he must be utterly fed up of Martinez as is Ross Barkley.

I know he looks like he "can't be arsed" at times but he's a match winner and should start every game.

Same old story when he speaks to the Belgium rags,if you don't want to be here Kev then 'see ya'. Turns up once in a dozen games never looks arsed when he plays Better players have left before you,we'll cope without ya.

On his day he's a good player. But for 3 years he's always talked about leaving. I reckon we need 7 quality signings at least. 5 will go.
