On this day in 1979 Everton played Bolton away and the game was abandoned at half time, with the score at 1-1, due to snow.

Trevor Ross had scored for the Blues but the game was remembered for Bolton's Peter Reid breaking his leg in a clash with Everton goalkeeper George Wood.
