Temple & Trebilcock celebrate

On this day in 1966 Everton beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 coming back from 0-2 down in the greatest FA Cup Final in history.

1-0 down a half time things got even worse after the break until Mike Trebilcock stepped up twice to put us level. It then fell to Derek Temple to run half the length of the pitch before striking the winner from the edge of the box.

Brian Labone went up the 39 steps to collect the FA Cup for Everton for the first time since 1933.
