Alan Harper
Alan Harper

The Blues utility man of the successful 1980's period Alan Harper left the club on this day back in 1988.

Alan won two League titles with the Blues and was in the 1985 ECWC Squad that conquered Vienna in Rotterdam.

Alan made over 100 appearances for Everton scoring four times, with his most precious and famous goal coming in the 1986 FA Cup Semi Final win over the club he later joined Sheffield Wednesday.

Alan had a spell coaching the Everton U17's side.
