On this day in 2008, Everton's very own Super-lamb Banana arrived.

It was one of 119 replica Superlambananas that were on show on show across the city. It was on view next to the Dixie Dean statue to celebrate the city's Capital of Culture year.

The Superlambanana was originally created by Japanese artist Taro Chiezo, 10 years ago. This one is was painted by Candida Boyes.

It was officially named 'The Super St Domingo Lamb Banana' by the way. Wonder what happened to him?
