He was part of Everton's greatest ever side. He won two League titles and the FA Cup whilst at the Blues.

On this day back in 1961, Adrian 'Inchy' Heath came into the world.

He played for his beloved Stoke City before joining the Blues in 1982 were he joined up with Graeme Sharp to bag 89 goals in 293 appearances.

He scored that goal against Oxford from a Kevin Brock back pass, that for some goes down in history as the turning point in Everton's fortunes. We went on to draw at Oxford then beat them in the replay 4-1at Goodison as we marched to Wembley in the 1984 League Cup. An FA Cup Final win followed, and the rest as they say is history.

Injury struck him down in 1985 when Brian Marwood 'did' him at Goodison and that put paid to his Euro dream with the Blues.

He returned from his career threatening injury to stake his claim again in the first team and help the Blues win the 1987 League Title.

Happy Birthday Inchy, you are a Legend.
