Mike Walker

Mike Walker became Everton's new Manager on this day back in 1994.

He had guided unfashionable Norwich City to great heights in the newly formed Premier League and in Europe too.

The Blues who had sacked Howard Kendall earlier in December brought in Walker as his replacement but his laid back style did not endear him to the Goodison faithful.

He was sacked later in the same year after we narrowly avoided relegation and then started the 94/95 season poorly with no wins in our opening twelve matches.

On the plus side he did bring Anders Limpar, Joe Parkinson, Daniel Amokachi and a certain Duncan Ferguson to the club.
