Blue Kipper were off on their travels again, this time as Guests of The Ellesmere Port Blues. Two Hundred and Fifty Evertonians packed into the Castrol Club to see two of our 80's heroes in Graeme Sharp and Kevin Sheedy watch action and talk about those halcyon days.
We were also delighted to hand over a cheque for £2250 to Craig Newnes, on behalf of his fundraising efforts for local hospitals in memory of his son Oliver (the Oliver Newnes Foundation) who tragically died from a rare brain abscess in October 2007. We shall never forget your fantastic words Craig, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house.
Once again many thanks to our Guests Sharpy and Sheeds. Many Thanks to Paul Holden from Ellesmere Port Motor Auctions who as well as sponsoring the night, auctioned off a match ball to contribute to the money raised for Oliver's charity. The night would not have gone ahead without the fantastic help of Chris and Sandra Healy, Alan Riley and our dear friend Snippy Mac Snappy. Thanks also to Dave Hickson who came along on the night, and graciously stepped forward to present one of the raffle prizes. Well played to all who attended, and a big thank you from Bluekipper and see you all in 2009.
