Lukaku Tops Europa League Goals List
Bookmark and Share

Romelu Lukaku was confirmed as the Europa League's joint top scorer this season with 8 goals.

Carlos Bacca's double in Sevilla's 3-2 victory over Dnipro in the final in Warsaw took him to seven in the competition, but his goals were not enough to beat the Belgian's tally of eight, tied with Salzburg's Alan.

Rom's 8 goals came with 1 in the 2-0 away win at Wolfsburg

3 in the 4-1 away win at Young Boys

2 in the 3-1 home win against Young Boys

1 in the 2-1 home win over Dynamo Kyiv

and 1 in the 5-2 defeat away to Dynamo Kyiv

The Europa League was a competition Lukaku loved. As well as his 8 goals, Rom was MOM in 4 of those games.

Lukaku has had some time off before he plays in Belgium's friendly against France on June 7.

Done well, considering that RM appears to have instructed his team mates not to feed him the ball for a large proportion of matches.

Said it before, I'll say it again. Don't play him as a target man because his first touch and heading aren't good enough. He needs somebody alongside him who can play layoffs with him. Do that and he could become some player. Right now he's nowhere near his full potential.

Cant work Lukaku out, some days he looks like a world beater, on other days he makes Brett Angel look like Graeme Sharp.

Don't think Lukaku reach the same dizzy heights in the Premier league.Let's hope for a vastly improved performance over the next season. Who would be a good man alongside him do you think?
