With Ross Barkley having his best game for a while in the 3-1 win over QPR.

Plus having Seven Naismith playing 90 minutes whilest scoring and the bonus of having Arouna Kone and John Stones back on the bench, Seamus Coleman is happy going into the busy Christmas period.

Shea said: "I thought he was very direct, very positive and it's great to see because we know what he's capable of and it's great to see him doing that in front of a crowd here at Goodison.

"I thought Mo gave him that protection, which was important. Mo broke a lot of things up and let Ross have the freedom of the middle of the park. It was good to see.

"It's massive to have them back and hopefully we'll have James McCarthy back soon too.

"It's great to see Stonesy back, he's been out for such a long time and he's been brilliant since the gaffer has been here.

"I think everyone knows how important Naisy is to the team and he showed that again today.

"He was absolutely fantastic. His work rate is something else but so is his ability on the ball, and it was great to see him get the goal."
