Johnny On His Way

Johnny Heitinga could have played his last game for Everton. He was a scorer in the 4-0 victory over Stevenage yesterday.

Johnny needs to be playing games to guarantee a World Cup squad place with Holland.

Roberto is happy for Johnny to go.

El Bob said: "There have been two clubs interested in Johnny. We have a very clear situation with him. He's been a very good servant. It's a key moment in his career with the World Cup coming up. If a deal can be done that allows Johnny to play games, I'm happy to have a solution."

The way his fortunes nose-dived has always been a mystery to me; he played in the World Cup final in 2010, was our player of the season a couple of years later, and then practically disappeared off the face of the earth. As bitter@2 commented, similar happened to Jelly. What a waste! I wish them both well, and that they both manage to get themselves back into their respective National squads for Brazil.

Player of the season a few years ago. Thanks, and good luck. We are short at left back and centre defence...or else Johnny stays and plays? 6 month loan deal for a left back, and new centre back?

Here's a what if. Imagine that he was made captain instead of Phil Neville, during his player of the season year. Any chance that he would never had had a dip in form and would still be paired up with Silvain at the back? I wish him well wherever he ends up,he may have made mistakes but he always gave it beans.

As with Jella, another victim of the Moyes regime. Damn shame as a top pro and player and respected the club and fans.. Thanks for your efforts and good luck.
