Archie Kelly admits he can't wait to perform at Everton's upcoming comedy night at Goodison Park.
Phoenix Nights star Kelly joins Everton fan and comedian Jamie Sutherland and the Blues' lounge MC Pete Emmett for a night of jokes and laughs on Thursday 9 April in the Peoples' Club.
Despite his Manchester City allegiance, Kelly is delighted to be able to be a part of what he expects to be a fantastic evening of comedy.
"It will be a really good night and I am looking forward to working with Pete Emmett and Jamie Sutherland," he said. "I've worked in the lounges at Goodison Park before and they have always been full of really nice people. I'm expecting something similar - a fun evening with a good-natured, nice audience.
"Many years ago, I used to go to Goodison regularly because one of my pals played for the reserve team. That was in the 1980s.
"Everton has always come across as a family club. It is the People's Club.
"You can go to a show, maybe listen to live music, and be inspired. But when you have been to a comedy night and had a good laugh, there's nothing better. It's a great thing to do - go out and laugh all night, and that's what I expect will be happening."
Tickets are £24 and include an evening of comedy, a one course meal and the opportunity to hear some new material. Doors open from 7pm.
