The Derby will kick-off at 5.30pm

Merseyside Police has withdrawn a legal challenge against a late kick-off at Saturday's derby.

Police were concerned the late start would increase the risk of trouble at the stadium and inside pubs screening the match.

Liverpool City Council had refused to amend Goodison Park's ground safety certificate to allow an earlier start.

During discussions at South Sefton Magistrates' Court, Everton agreed to further segregation arrangements.

So the lawyers for the police withdrew the case once additional arrangements were agreed.

Wouldn't bother me if it kicked off at 3.57am in the Shetland Isles,as long as we get the readies.Come on Roberto pull a phenomenal rabbit out of the hat and make us Blue natives happy,it's the least you can do. If you do,the shoe polish is on me.

RM - it will go a very long way down the road towards 'all is forgiven' if we subject the shite to a completely humiliating thrashing - or even scrape an undeserved 1-0 for that matter.
