*** As the new season approaches with the usual feeling of dread and suppressed optimism, Blue Kipper are launching a unique trip down memory lane to create the ultimate season for Everton. A week by week look back on the highlights of the last 50 years will build a fantasy season and all for £5.99 per week, special introductory price £2.99 including a free model of Bernie Wright.

Seriously, and the pressure is on to keep this going for the whole season, we aim to capture and create a look back through blue tinted glasses that will include all the big games you expect plus a few surprises.

We welcome your input and feedback on the games to be included in our perfect season, but as usual we'll probably do our own thing. Hopefully it will be a bit of fun to supplement a great 2011/12 campaign, if not it will be a pleasant reminder of why we are Evertonians.....

In an attempt to bolster his squad Colin Harvey has been busy during the summer signing Neil McDonald from Newcastle, Pat Nevin from Chelsea, Stuart McCall from Bradford City and British record signing Tony Cottee from West Ham £2.2m. All 4 are expected to start alongside the championship winning stars of previous seasons.

Tony Cottee cost £2.2m then, and if he was going today for the same price we couldn't afford him!!!

A strange game. The toon army were really up for it before kick off, but if I remember correctly we were 3-0 up after 20 minutes and they were chanting "Sack the Board". it ended up with disappointment for us, because the remnants of our great team (Sharp, Big Nev) never took to Cottee and co and it was downhill from there into the early 90s.

What a waste of money Tony Cottee was. Your talking about the decline from the Kendal era. Neil McDonald from Newcastle, Pat Nevin from Chelsea, Stuart McCall from Bradford City and British record signing Tony Cottee from West Ham £2.2m. All 4 are expected to start alongside the championship winning stars of previous seasons. HOW MUCH PER WEEK for this drivle This site is for doom mungers and hopless romantics. GET REAL.

This is a class idea. I'm 21 and have had a season ticket all my short life, this is a quality way of educating young blues about our history. COYB
