Bluekipper F.C overcome Title rival's Wrexham 4-2 to retain the NFSL League Title

The Blue went into the game knowing there could be no margin of error with all of their remaining games against teams capable of taking the League title off them and in hostile surroundings Kipper went about proving they were indeed worthy Champions and it didn't take long for them to take the lead, a stunning ball from David Devaney down the left wing provided Ynyr Jones with yards of space in which to play a perfect cross to the unmarked Lee Lawson to give the visitors the start the richly craved and the Blues kept up the pressure but soon found themselves back on level terms when a soft penalty for holding by Dan Manning was given and dispatched the put Wrexham right back in the game, but the Blues were not going to feel sorry for themselves and went back into the lead soon after when a weekly punched clearance by the Wreham Keeper bounced off Lee Lawson's back for his second goal of the game and give the Blues a lead at the half.

The Blues now had to keep calm heads as the pressure and physical nature of the game began to rise as a series of poor challengers went unpunished by the referee but Kipper did what they do best and answered by going further infront when good hold up play by Lawson allowed Liam Jones to join up with the attack and sweep a fantastic strike into the bottom corner.

It was now time for Wrexham to start throwing the kitchen sink at the Blues but this only left them more exposed as the Blues defence soaked up the pressure and hit on the counter attack with Lawson missing out on a deserved Hat Trick on two occasions, but as Wrexham kept coming something had to give and the Welsh side got a second via a deflection which beat Ian Hopkins.

The game was now in the balance and the effort of both sides was starting to show as the game slowed and players started to feel the strain, one particular player Ynyr Jones who had taken a punishing amount of treatment from the Wrexham defence all game had to be replaced by Peter Mcpartland and it was the Player Manager who made the points safe, a long ball was played out of the Kipper defence, instead of challenging the Centre backs Mcpartland gambled and run straight past them and as they both missed the ball leaving him clear, he controlled with his head before coolly lobbing the onrushing keeper to make the points safe and leave Bluekipper F.C the NFSL 2009/10 Champions
