Bluekipper F.C moved into the Semi Final's of the Challenge Cup with a 4-2 victory over Runcorn

The Blues who had won every game so far in the the group stages started slowly and fell behind when a Runcorn corner was tapped to give the local neighbors a early lead, The Blues were finding it hard to get out of the blocks and also finding it hard to adapt to the new strike partnership of Joey Lomas and Manager Peter Mcpartland both starting games for nearly a year and it was the unfortunate Lomas who once again had to be taken off with a injury to be replaced by Top scorer Matty McKeown himself to ill to start just before half time.

With the Blues One down at half time it was time to up the tempo and not long into the half Liam Jones put Mcpartland in on the right wing who slid a ball into the area for McKeown to tap in to make the game level and Kipper should have taken the lead soon after when the Runcorn keeper saved from close blank range to stop Player Manager Peter Mcpartland from giving the Blues a deserved lead but he didn't take long to make up for the miss when a excellent run and cross down the Left from David Devaney saw the Manager smash home a volley at the back post. The Blues were now well on top and a third was inevitable and it soon came when Mcpartland looped a through ball over the defense for Matty Mckeown to chase and catch before coolly rounded the keeper and make it 3-1.

It was now time for the sub to be subbed when McKeown's sickness got the better of him but his replacement Dave Johnston was soon in the action looping a ball over his head into the path of Peter Mcpartland who beat the last defender and curled it past the keeper to complete Kipper's scoring for the day.

Runcorn did get a late consolation goal with a fine header but it wasn't enough to stop the Cup Holders progressing into the Semi Finals.
