We are boosted with the return of the Antolin Alcaraz from injury. The Birdman has a chance to play. I have a feeling that Roberto prefers Ant to Sylvain.

Not so good news with Steven Naismith, James McCarthy and Darron Gibson all expected to be missing.

We have missed Naisy and Macca big time over the last couple of weeks and we need to improve to get anything out of the City game.

Everton Squad: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Alcaraz, McGeady, McCarthy, Barry, Naismith, Lukaku, Barkley, Eto'o, Robles, Hibbert, Besic, Pienaar, Osman, Mirallas, Browning, Garbutt,

Sauasage's Starting XI: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Alcaraz, Baines, Barry, Besic, Mirallas, McGeady, Barkley, Lukaku.

What Team would you start with?

Only one certainty today, Lampard to get his obligatory goal against the Toffees.

We owe this mob for last years over zealous acts of generosity.Lets get back to normal service is resumed mode, and remind them were their proverbial flea in the ear.Rome might be a distraction,so lets strike while our iron is,well kinda warm.

If you work hard against City and get at them, then you have a chance, we have players who have that chance. If you can keep Aguero and Silva quiet then you cut them by 50% El Bob will have a cunning plan.....

We will see today whether Martinez is tactically naive or up with the best of them. If he plays possession football, the way he likes to, then we will be taken apart, if we play defensively and hit city on the break (like we did at Wolfsberg) then we will stand a chance.

Why not experiment against this lot. Play banks of three. Howard, then Jagielka, Besic,Distin. with Coleman, Barry and Baines just ahead. And McGeady, Barkley and Mirallas backing up Lukaku. From the comments this week we all expect a drubbing anyway so why not shake it up.
