The injury problems are clearing up for Everton at the moment.

Ross Barkley is fit again, but it may be a little too early to start with him.

There are also late fitness tests on Seamus, Peanuts and James McCarthy. Roberto will not take any risks on any of the lads, but it seems that Seamus is the closest to start a game.

Sylvain Distin should be line to replace Stonsey after a well deserved "rest".

Roberto Martinez added: "It is not a moment to assess where we are in the league. It is a period where we are working to get ourselves in the best possible position before we start the final third.

"We're taking every game slowly and for us the only concentration is Aston Villa. Villa is the last team you want to play at home. They got a very good win at Stoke - we all know how difficult it is there - and then they went to Anfield and got an impressive result there."

Everton squad:  Howard, Stones, Jagielka, Baines, McGeady,  Distin, Barry, Naismith, Lukaku, Pienaar, Robles, Browning, Alcaraz, Besic, Gibson, Atsu, Osman, Eto'o, Oviedo, Garbutt, Hibbert, McCarthy, Coleman, Pienaar, Distin.

Kipper's starting XI:
Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Pienaar, Gibson, Barry, Naismith, Eto'o, Lukaku.

Who would be in your starting XI?

Big time agree with number Blue. Peanuts was a joke against United I also think Browning should start against Villa due to the pace they have in their team ..,, also thought Oveido looked really sharp when he came on.

Both top players, Brian and Peanuts. These are the problems I guess you want as a manager. I'd start Brian, too and I'd beg Steven to stop diving and falling over all the time - it gets embarrassing. he does it most when he's not 100% fit - like at Untied last week...

EFC - a win (any sort of win) tomorrow to lift me from this slough of despond.
