Everton are waiting on the fitness of two star players. Seamus Coleman, Everton's player of the season and Steven Pienaar, Everton's most skilful player. Besides Ross Barkley and Arouna Kone, Roberto Martinez has a full squad to pick from.

If both players pass a fitness test Everton fans will get a big boost. Martinez confirmed both players are still to have fitness tests to determine whether they can play at Anfield.

We would love to see Eto'o come on with 20 mins to go and score the winner.

Roberto said: "Steven Pienaar is recovering really well and we are going to assess him over the next few days.

"It's the same with Seamus. Both are in the same situation where it is too early to tell if they are going to be fit for the weekend.

"I consider Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson fully fit after getting through the game on Tuesday. Arouna Kone will be fully fit after he can play a few minutes on the pitch, which he couldn't get on Tuesday.

"Ross Barkley is recovering quicker than we thought but it is still in the early stages. We can't rush it. Even when you feel right, medicine always wants one day more."

Everton squad:  Howard, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, McGeady, McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Naismith, Lukaku, Pienaar, Robles, Browning, Alcaraz, Besic, Gibson, Atsu, Osman, Eto'o, Oviedo, Garbutt, Hibbert.

Lard's starting XI: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Mirallas, Barry, McCarthy, Pienaar, Naismith, Lukaku.

Don't rush Pienaar in. We paid badly last year for playing players that weren't fully fit. We have a much deeper quality squad so for me it's keep the Geeds. Also for me, Stones is above Buzz at the moment so I would play Stones and Jags centrally.
