After another hard luck story against United, Everton need to back some more points on the board. Marouane Fellaini  will certainly be a big miss this week-end. The big fella is suspended,  but we have enough in the squad to cause Newcastle problems.  I think David Moyes will put Phil Neville, Jack Rodwell and Tim Cahill in the middle of the park.

Royston and Seamus should be on the wings. This will mean Louis Saha up front will Tim supporting him when he can

Sylvain Distin will be back to partner Jags in the back four. This will leave Johnny upset on the bench

Seamus is delighted Royston will be back after suspension

Seamus said:"Royston will  be back for Saturday and he'll be raring to go. He was playing playing fantastic up until that suspension and we definitely could have done with him against Manchester United, he's really fast."

We do need some big performances. You always go out intending to play well and sometimes it doesn't work out.

Ernie's Team To Start: Tim, Hibbo, Bainsey, Jags, Buzz, Seamus, Jack, Pip, Royston, Tim, King Louis

We never really had a proven goalscorer on the bench. For me Cahill's lost his touch. He hasn't scored this year. That's not proven and Vellios wasn't on the bench.

What an awful performance. Newcastle with a weakened team were there for the taking today. It is hard to single out a single player who had a half decent game today. Jags and Distin when he came on were solid, but apart from that there was very little to shout about. Drenthe looked a liability. Coleman was clueless. Saha woeful and Rodwell anonymous. The biggest criticism must be reserved for David Moyes. Why did he play Johnny Heitega at centre half if Distin who has been one of our most consistent players this season and over the last few seasons was fit to play? The biggest question was why did he bring on James McFadden with ten minutes left? A guy who has not played football for over 16 months and was released by Birmingham City when we have a proven goalscorer and supersub Velios on the bench??? What a mystery?? Any answers??
