Kone and Oviedo Back With Goals

Arouna Kone scored in Everton U21's 3-2 win over Sunderland last night.

The Ivory Coast international played for 75 minutes before coming off. Six days earlier he had played 45 minutes and was pain free.

So lets hope this is finally the breakthrough he needs to kick on and get back in the first team squad and with 7 games in December coming up the 31 year old could be a welcome addition.

The Krasnodar game could be the one Kone could make his first team return.

Bryan Oviedo who had a screw removed from his leg in October also looks to be in line for a recall after scoring the second goal.
Conor McAleny scored the winner.

Everton U21s: Robles, Jones, Galloway, Browning, Kenny (c), Ledson, Dowell, Grant, Kone, McAleny, Oviedo.

Bench: Griffiths, Walsh, Williams, Long, C.Duffus

I think Kone will give us options because of his strength of hold up play, and he of course can score, but dont expect miracles, despite his time out with injury he will still need more time to get up to the speed of the prem. As for Oviedo, maybe he can fill that birth in front of Baines that El Bob feels reluctant to give anyone at the moment, and the balance of the team is suffering accordingly. Welcome back and lets hope they stay injury free, its like TWO new signings !

Talk about a wealth of talent at left many clubs can claim three better than Bainsey, Oviedo Baby and Luke Garbutt?

This is what we want, truly feel for Arouna, still got a role to play at our club.Once he gets a string of performances under his belt,we'll see the undoubted ability the man possesses. As for Bryan, the shirt is up for grabs, and your more than comfortable in it.
