Everton have confirmed the signing of 15-year-old Irish U17s International winger Stephen Kinsella.

Blue Kipper reported a month ago that Everton had impressed his family and won the race for the Dublin based teenager.

Stephen will join the Everton academy during the Summer ready for the start of the 2014/15 season.

The Ireland Under-17 international joins from Dublin-based Templeogue United.

Everton academy manager Alan Irvine said: "I am delighted Stephen will be joining us. He is a very talented player who was wanted by many other Clubs and who has decided to come to Everton.

"He's a winger who has the ability to go past players and we are very much looking forward to working with him."

I am very excited about the young talent at Everton and I hope that as many as possible make it through to the first team and forefill their potential and dreams. I can only assume that with El Bob flying to Dublin to persuade Stephen and his parents that Everton is the right choice , that the scout involved must of thought it worthwhile, as they believe he is a special young player.. It bodes well for the scouting system and also for a Manager to make this effort to secure the signing. Well done to all concerned, and welcome Stephen to Everton, I am sure our Irish contingent will make you settle all the more easily.
