Everton's Under 21 captain, Tyias Browning has joined Championship side Wigan Athletic on an initial one-month loan.

Ty became the ninth youngster to go out on loan to gain some competitive games.

Ty said: "I've been at Everton most of my life so this will be a good experience. It will be a test but I'm sure I will enjoy it.

"It's a step up so it will be a lot different to Under-21s football but Alan  has just told me to carry on what I have been doing and show the people at Wigan what I can do."

The other players out on loan are:

John Lundstram - Yeovil until the end of the season.

Shane Duffy - Yeovil until the end of the season.

Luke Garbutt - Colchester United one month.

Hallam Hope - Northampton one month.

Matthew Pennington - Tranmere Rovers one month.

Francisco Junior - Vitesse Arnhem until the end of the season.

Chris Long - MK Dons one month.

Matthew Kennedy - Tranmere one month.

I love the school of hard knocks for young players, ie go out on loan, it will be the making of their development. I especially look forward to seeing how this young man shapes up, as El Bob mentioned Ty as one of the youngsters who is ready in the first team. Good luck young man.
