Marley's Everton Ladies won the Women's
Premier League Cup with Amy Kane netting in a 1-0 win. Everton
deserved their win, as they wanted it more. They played some great
football at times and were unlucky not to add to their total on
a couple of occasions.

Mo
says: "This is a fantastic night for Everton.
It's the first time since we beat Arsenal in 2005 that the players
have shown the absolute belief in themselves that they showed
on that occasion. Now we have to build on this - and it will hopefully
be the start of Everton becoming a successful team winning trophies
on a regular basis."
Amy
says: "I've
been ballooning chances over the bar of late and the girls reckoned
I couldn't score. But I kept telling them I was waiting for the
cup final - and I showed them! It was a great team performance
and a deserved win."
Blue
Bill says:
“This is a truly memorable and historic victory for the Everton
girls. I know how much work they put in and they deserve everything
they have achieved. I send the congratulations of every member
of the Everton board.” (28/02/08) |
