20. Stephane M'bia

Everton have had a second bid thought to be about £8m rejected by Rennes, even though the player has repeatedly said he wants to join Everton.

Rennes General manager Pierre Dreossi says: "We have received a good offer from Everton but we are not selling. We are going to seek a financial accord with Stephane so he can stay another year." (28/08/08)

Ste is on collision course with Rennes when he returns from the Olympics this weekend, as the player wants to leave for Everton and Rennes want to keep him.

Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi says: "Our position has not changed. We remain determined to retain Stephane M'Bia and I repeat this decision is firm and final." (22/08/08)

In today's daily 'I want to play for Everton' press release, M'bia thinks a move to Everton will net him a big wedge to feed his family and half of Cameroon by the looks of things.

Ste says: “I have just been told that Arsenal are as well interested, but my position is clear: I want to start the season with Everton. What Rennes are currently offering me is far behind my demands. Both clubs have to find an agreement to help me leave.

I’m aware that my directors have declared I won’t leave, but it’s just a means to make my price higher. I understand their position and I would do the same. It’s politics. Regarding what I’ve heard, I know [general manager Pierre] Dreossi is ready to let me leave. From my part, I don’t want to play for Rennes anymore.

Personally I don’t worry because English clubs have the resources to sign me. When they really want a player they are ready to spent whatever amount. I’m hopeful it will be done by next week. That kind of opportunity only happens once. Everton offer me €1.5m (£1.2m) whereas I don’t earn the half of it at Rennes. Even if I owe everything to this club Rennes, I have a family to feed, regardless the challenge, which is very interesting. It’s an ideal springboard for my career.” (20/08/08)

Ste who is now out of the Olympics with Cameroon is still stating he wants to join the Blues. Great stuff give him a gold for persistence, and if he does join a heroes welcome at Goodison. Normally its players holding us to ransom, Ste has said all Summer he just wants to play for the Blues, and that will do for me.

Ste says: "I haven't changed my mind, I want to join Everton. We are still in contact. I hope now that Rennes will accept to enter into negotiations with this English club. I don't want to let this chance go by." (19/08/08)

Speaking from the Olympic village in Beijing, Ste has again said he wants to join Everton.

Ste says: "The offer from Everton is too good to refuse. But I cannot leave on bad terms, despite the lure of the Premier League - I am caught in the middle. It is not easy when everyone has been so kind to you." (12/08/08)

The Cameroon international scored his countries winner in a 1-0 win against Honduras in the Olympics and has continued his plea to get a transfer to Everton.

Ste says: "I want to leave Rennes. Everton are a very established club in the Premier League, managed by David Moyes, a coach who puts trust in youngsters." (10/08/08)

What a difference a day makes. Speaking from the Cameroon squad in Beijing for the Olympics, Ste has had an about turn, probably after talking to his mates who are play in the Premiership.

Ste says: "I love Pierre Dréossi (Rennes Boss), but at the end of last season, he promised that he would accept any beautiful offers to me let go. This offer is available. It just Everton who wants to buy me for more than eight million euros. Let Rennes understand me. I want the management of the two clubs to reach an agreement. I have confidence. I saw that Rennes had recruited a player who has the same profile as me. " (08/08/08)

M'bia has said he's going to stay at Rennes for another season.

Ste says: "Listen, all the world knows that Everton and Sevilla are after me. But I have a contract with Rennes and I do understand that Rennes want to keep me. My contract with the club expires in June 2010, however, I am staying this year because I have a good relationship with Rennes. Next year maybe I will want to further my career, but I need to respect Rennes. They gave me the platform to be who I am." (07/08/08)

Reports in France have that Everton have lodged £5m bid M'bia. Would be a boost for everyone if that came off. We will wait and see. (01/08/08)

Reports that Everton are stepping up their bid to sign Ste. The fee Rennes want is said to be around £4m. (17/07/08)

After hearing on the grapevine that Everton maybe interested in him, Ste seems keen.

Ste says: “I did not say I will depart from Rennes. I think that one more year at Rennes can be a good solution. But if I have an opportunity to move to a big club, I will leave. There are moments when an opportunity is presented to you, you have to jump on it.” (15/05/08)

Rennes midfielder Ste (to his mates) is after a move. By the sound of it, the Cameroon International doesn't care who he goes to as long as its a move.

Ste says: "There are contacts with Manchester United, Manchester City, and in Spain there is Barcelona as well. For the moment I'm not thinking of it and I will stay with Rennes. I'll rely on people like general manager Pierre Dreossi, who knows me and my parents very well." (24/04/08)

19. Mark Beevers

Sheffield Wednesday are worried that if they get relegated, then they will have to unload a few players to survive. Mark(to his mates) is a 6ft 4in cultured defender who has played for England U19's. The word in Yorkshire is that Everton are favourites to secure his signature.

Mark says: "It was nice to look at newspapers and have my friends tell me that there were Premier League clubs looking at me. Some of the time I didn't believe them, but I always felt I wanted to play for Sheffield Wednesday. I didn't want to move a really big club because I think when some players move to Premier League clubs their performances dip as they might be playing in the reserves. Here I've been playing in the first-team regularly so my development can progress over the next few weeks." (20/04/08)

Blue Kipper says:

18. Steven Reid

Speculation in the media over the weekend saying Everton would be looking at bidding for the Blackburn midfielder, could be wide of the mark. The 27 year old Republic of Ireland International has played 21 games to date and not scored a goal this season. (13/04/08)

Blue Kipper says:

17. Joe Ledley

Everton could be ready to go back to Wales and see if they can take the young winger/midfielder away from Cardiff his place of birth. (27/08/08)

Everton are said to be one of a host of clubs chasing Cardiff City's FA Cup hero Joe Ledley. Joe who is 21, is said to be priced in the £5m bracket, and Cardiff despite making this season's FA Cup Final will be desperate to sell at that price to balance their books. Moyesy has an excellent record of plucking players from the Championship and making them into Internationals and this could tip the balance in Everton's favour.

Joe says: "A couple of clubs were interested in me but it was always down to the club if they wanted to sell me. It wasn’t down to me. I know if I keep working hard like I did in the semi-final anything can happen. I just go out there and play. Everyone would love to play in the Premier League. Anything can happen. I just have to keep working hard every game." (09/04/08)

16. Cosmin Contra

Over the weekend there has been a few reports of Cos (to his mates) looking at the possibility of joining a Premiership club with Everton mentioned a few times. Why Everton are mentioned is a mystery. The 32 year old Rumanian International is currently at Getafe in Spain and happy as Larry by all accounts. Long gone for good we hope are the days when we signed players from the over 30's team. Reports in Spain say he's ready to sign another year for the Madrid club.

Cos says: "I have reached an agreement with Ángel Torres for renewing my contract for another year. I am very comfortable at the club and the president has always supported me and shown me confidence." (06/04/08)

14. Michael Bradley

Mickey signed For Borussia Mönchengladbach for an undisclosed fee. (31/08/08)

Heerenveen director Yme Kuiper says that Bradley can fulfil his Premiership dream after he returns from playing for the USA in the Olympics, but only if the price is right.

Kupier says: "Bradley is allowed to leave us, but only for a realistic transfer fee. If that does not come along, it is better that he stays with us. Bradley is a good football player who can certainly be of value to us." (22/08/08)

Boro boss, Southgate is keen on Mickey. Reports say he wants the American to be the new king pin in his sides midfield. (05/06/08)

After having a low key game for the USA at Wembley last night, Mickey is set on a move to Everton and he's got Tim Howard on his side saying he's in the Lee Carsley mould.

Mickey says: “I’d love to play in England. It’s a fantastic league and there are some terrific players. I watch the games on TV and the speed of them is incredible. They are competitive and I would love to play here. I have one-year left on my contract at Heerenveen, so I am looking to move this summer. Hopefully something will work out. I know all about Everton. It is a great club and I think anybody would be honoured to go and play there. I know I would. We’ll just have to see what happens in the next few weeks. I’ve spoken to Tim about it a lot. I’ve asked all the guys on the national team who play in England and Germany what it is like. I’m looking forward to hopefully being in a league where I can play against these type of players all the time.”

Tim Howard says: “He’s just an honest lad and is in the Lee Carsley mould. He works tremendously hard and is always there after training, trying to fine tune his game. He’s a tough tackler, he’s probably got as many international caps as I have got already and if he came to our team, he’d fit right in. He’s got the right attitude and wants to be a success. I’ve known him since he was a kid and to see him develop has been fantastic.” (29/05/08)

Everton fans can join Moyesy and see Mickey in action tonight when he lines up with Tim Howard for the USA at Wembley in a friendly against England. (28/05/08)

Moyesy made a trip to Holland last night to watch Michael Bradley in action as Herenveen clashed with Ajax. Mickey ended the season with a hugely impressive eighteen golas in thirty six appearances for Herenveen as his Dutch team finished fifth in the League. Moyesy has been tracking the six foot one midfielder for a while now and a bid we are told in the region of £4m won't be far off. (06/05/08)

Mickey (to his mates) wants away from Holland and would like to join a top Premiership club.

Mickey says: "I strive to reach the highest level. It's time to make the next step. I don't think the Dutch way of playing football suits me. I see myself as a box-to-box midfielder. I attack and score goals, but I also defend and win many balls. In Holland, it's often one, but not the other." (26/03/08)

11. Marouane Fellaini

With most Evertonians tucked up in bed after kicking the cat on the way, shouting "Carlo fucking Nash" will be pleasantly surprised in the morning to find out that Everton have confirmed the signing. The fee is an initial £15m meaning a few more million on its way after a certain amount of games. Maro has signed a 5 year deal.

Acting Chief Executive Robert Elstone says: “This is fantastic news for everyone connected with the Club. We have signed one of European football’s most exciting prospects who will have a huge part to play at Everton over the next five years.

“I spoke with Bill Kenwright and David Moyes shortly after concluding the deal and they are delighted we have managed to secure his services. It came late on, like a lot of the big deals in the Premier League, but he’s with us and we look forward to welcoming him to Goodison.” 1.50am BST.(02/09/08)

According to the official Standard Liege site, Maro has signed a 5 year deal for Everton. The Everton site says nothing. Lets hope it's not because the Everton fax machine ran out of paper and the deals not official. According to the Liege site Maro won't be able to play against Standard in the UEFA Cup game later on this month as part of the deal.

Fellaini's agent Christophe Henrotay says: "It is all okay. Marouane has signed for five-years and Standard gets €16 million." 1.25am BST. (02/09/08)

Reports in the press that Moyesy was in Belgium on Sunday to try and sort out a deal for the Standard Liege midfielder, but Everton do have a UEFA Cup game against them and he could have been just checking them out. Maro was outstanding in both the Champions league games against the shite recently. The 20 year old has 10 Belgium caps. (01/09/08)

The 20-year-old midfielder has reportedly been the subject of an informal enquiry from Everton. Some media outlets even say the Belgian club Standard Liege claim Everton have made a £6m firm enquiry bid. Whatever that is.

Liege director Luciano D’Onofrio claimed: “Everton have made an unofficial bid but we turned it down.”

Maro(to his mates) says: “It’s nice that such a club thinks of me but that is not a concern. I will first wait and see. I have never said what I am going to do next season.”

Everton target Marouane Fellaini is flattered by talk of a move to Merseyside but is in no rush to decide on his future at Standard Liege. (25/03/08)

10. Kim Kallstrom

Apparently a journo saw that Kim had 3 kippers against his name on the site and asked the Swedish International if he fancied moving to Everton.

Kim says: “Maybe, it’s a great championship so why not? But at the moment I’m concentrating on playing in France. Lyon is a great club and I hope I stay there for a long time. It’s the first time I've heard anything about Everton's interest so I don't know actually. But why not? Why not? It’s a great club that plays at the top of the Premier League so why not? You never know, we'll see in the summer after the Euros.” (28/03/08)

With the end of the season only two months away, Moyesy is planning already for next term, and is said to be interested in Lyon's and Sweden's left sided midfielder Kim Kallstrom. He has scored seven times for his country in fifty two appearances and this season has performed superbly for Lyon in the Champions League. Kim is 26 in August and will be coming into the prime of his career, so as they say watch this space. (19/03/08)

9. Andrei Arshavin

Barca Andrei's dream team have contacted Zenit. So that's the end of that then. Unless the Russians want too much for him.

Zenit sporting director Konstantin Sarsaniya says: ”Barcelona has made a formal proposal to Zenit for the purchase of Arshavin."

Andrei says: “I have supported Barcelona all my life. Barcelona are my dream. I never thought I would have a genuine chance to play for the club. Let’s see how the situation unfolds. For now I can’t say anything for sure. At the moment I’m a player of team Russia and I’m only thinking about doing well in the semi-finals.” (26/06/08)

The president of the Russian Football Federation, Vitaly Butko has said that that man-of-the-moment Andrei Arshavin ‘dreams’ of playing for Barcelona.

Vitaly Butko says: "Andrei has a dream to play for Barcelona. It is, together with the Russian national team, his favourite team. He could easily play and show all his quality at Barcelona. Andrei doesn't have less quality than players like Deco." (23/06/08)

Russia's play maker Andrei wants to try his luck elsewhere. After his displays in the Euro's he has shown what all Everton fans have known since last year, that he is a top drawer player. Arsenal and a host of other clubs are chasing him. If we get him it will be some coup.

Dick Advocaat says: “Andrei has told us that he wishes to change clubs. At present in the way of offers it is quiet. The situation may well change after tomorrow’s game against Holland for the national side.” (20/06/08)

Dick Advocaat has given Andrei Arshavin till June 20th to sort his head out and say whether he is staying or going. Andy (to his mates) is currently in Switzerland with his Russian team mates competing in Euro 2008, but after his countries opening showing he may have more time on his hands come next week. The Blues have been sniffing round Andy all season after his UEFA Cup exploits, and figures ranging from £12 - £15m have been touted around for the midfielder.

Some Bod at Zenit says: 'Andrei wants to try playing in one of the leading European leagues, but if he doesn't leave us by June 20 he'll stay in the team.' (13/06/08)

UEFA Cup winner Andrei Arshavin will be on the move in the Summer, and Everton are definitely one of the clubs in the hunt for him. Having played at Goodison in the early rounds of the Tournament, Blues fans saw first hand his skills as Zenit impressed in the UEFA Cup. Moyesy has also sang Arshavin's praises and don't be surprised if he is high up the Managers wish list this Summer.

Dick Advocaat says: "That will happen, I have no doubts about that and we will have to start again. That is the problem if you become successful - such as happened with Skrtel sold to Liverpool (the shite). We have to keep those players to become a better team. It's not only Arshavin - other players also who are very important for this team - and we need to try to buy three or four others to make the squad better and rotate a little bit. Only 12 or 13 players played in almost all the games and that's difficult." (16/05/08)

Andrei, The Zenit St Petersburg forward made a big impression on the Everton fans in the UEFA cup game at Goodison. It seems Everton made a big impression on him. The 26 year-old was outstanding. The Russian international player is valued between £6m - £8m and his agent says that his aim is to play for a Premier League team with Everton being his choice. (18/03/08)

8. Steven Pienaar

Talks have started to make Steven's move a permanent one. Moyesy is keen to tie up the deal. This will be a great signing for the fans, especially for the ladies. (24/02/08)

Everton have agreed a 12 month loan deal with Borussia Dortmund for Stevie P. He will sign next week once he gets a work permit. (20/07/07)

Borussia Dortmund's South African midfielder, Steven Pienaar is on offer on a year long loan deal and if successful a permanent move to the Blues, and we believe Moyesy is tempted. The 26 yr old sprung to prominence with his starring role for Ajax in the Champions League a few seasons ago. Sexy Sven is also in the running for Pinny, but it is rumoured European Football is one of his motives for moving, cue Davey Boy. (18/07/07)

7. Lorik Cana

Although happy with his form at Marseille, the Albanian midfielder is keen on a move to the Premiership. Everton are understood to have taken a close look at the 24 year old hard knock.

Lorri (to his mates) says: “This is my third season and I’m having a lot of fun here. I have found an atmosphere and a passion that correspond to my personality and to the image I have of football because it’s part of daily life for people here.” (16/03/08).

6. Tommy Gravesen

Tommy has been released from his contract and now looking for another club. (18/08/08)

It looks like the 32-year-old will not be staying at Goodison and returning to Celtic at the end of the season. No surprise with just 3 starts and 6 as a sub. He has had an ongoing knee problem. (15/03/08)

5. Manuel Fernandes

Only a month ago Manny was saying he wants to stay in England, but most probably after reading that we haven't got a pot to piss in, he's realised his best bet is to stay at Valencia.

Manny says: "I want to succeed in Spain. But I need more confidence from the coach." (12/08/08)

This seems to be dragging on too long for us Evertonians. Obviously money is the stumbling block. Ideally Everton will want another loan deal for a year, but Valencia want a permanent deal set up. Either way Manny thinks a deal is close.

Manny says: "I want to make a career in England. I am conscious of my value and believe that soon a good solution will be found.” (20/07/08)

Valencia have given the green light for Everton to get their man. The most likely outcome is another year loan deal.

Valencia technical director Juan Sanchez says: “We invested a lot on a player and we are going to find a solution to help him play regularly next season. It won`t be guaranteed to him here so we`re going to find him a new team. In principle he`s not part of our plans but we never know what can happen." (27/06/08)

Reports that Manny may become an Everton player for a knockdown £6m have been boo hooed by other reporters who report that Manny will still be on a loan deal. These reports are not confirmed. We'll report further when and if Manny reports for pre-season training. (16/06/08)

Moyesy has hinted that he may keep Manny for a third loan period. The 22-year-old Portugal international has improved over the season, but not enough for Everton to splash out around £12m to secure a permanent deal.

Moyesy says: "Fernandes' form towards the end of the season was much improved. He has got better, he passed the ball well. It was much like last season when he arrived and got better as things went along. He certainly looked in better shape, physically, than he did when he first came in January. We are going to assess his situation over the coming weeks, I have got a few ideas of what I want to do with him. It will happen in time." (14/05/08)

Manny hasn't produced the form he showed last season. Moyesy will way up the other transfer options before he decides to take Manny permanently. Mind you Manny may do a midnight flit. (07/03/08)

Blue Kipper says:

4. Paul Josef Herbert Scharner

Scharns (to his mates) wants away from Wigan. Everton are thought to be interested.

Scharns says: “I’ve got no desire to spend another year in footballing no-man’s land, battling against relegation. I am good enough to take on bigger responsibilities, like the Champions League or the UEFA Cup. I am under contract with Wigan until 2009 but who knows what might happen during the summer.” (16/02/08)

Blue Kipper says:

3. Steve Sidwell

Aston Villa have signed the midfielder from Chelsea. (10/07/08)

With Steve not getting a regular game for Chelski and Avram Grant's future not secure, don't be suprised to see the former Reading man on his way in the Summer. (15/02/08)

Blue Kipper says:

2. Giles Barnes

Gilly (to his mates) is another young left winger who is getting rave reviews for Derby County. With Derby now doomed to The Championship, he may be on his way back to the Premiership. (14/02/08)

Blue Kipper says:

1. Bastien Geiger

There maybe a chance that Baz may join Everton soon. A fee of around £500,000 is being discussed. (09/01/07)

Baz (to his mates) has had a two day trial with Everton and may join them in the Summer. A full back/defender/midfielder. He's now gone back to his Swiss club, FC Sion. (03/01/07)
