Players IN for Jan 2005 (The Rumour Mill)          Fishy out - Jan 2005         EXCLUSIVE - NEW SIGNINGS

67. Mikel Arteta

We have made our second January signing. Mikky, to his mates, has joined the Toffeemen on loan until the end of the season. If it all goes well we may make the deal a permanent one.

Keith "Bully" Wyness says: "We are delighted that Mikel has agreed to join us and this is a real coup for Everton as there were a number of other clubs interested. David Moyes, Bill Kenwright and myself have been working behind the scenes on a daily basis attempting to strengthen the squad and the signing of Mikel, who is one of the best young prospects in Spain, is hopefully testament to that." (31/01/05)

Mikel Arteta

66. Craig Bellamy

There have been various sightings of the lovely Craig (wanker to his mates) all over Merseyside, in Hotels in Knowsley and in Service Stations in Cheshire. All supposedly with Everton officials.

Then we hear that Birmingham have agreed a £6m fee, and their boss Steve Bruce says: "We have agreed a fee and we've got permission to speak to the player."

But Bellamy's agent, Steve Horner says: "I'm not traveling to Birmingham as I'm still awaiting confirmation from Newcastle that a bid has been accepted and until I receive it there is nothing I or Craig can do. If another club matches the fee, Craig and myself will be free to talk to them." The plot thickens. Maybe those sightings are real. Or are they? (28/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Celtic on loan

65. Barry Ferguson

Ferguson rejected a move by Everton. We put in a £4.5m bid. He wanted to go home to Rangers. (30/01/05)

With Rangers pulling out of the deal after Ferguson putting in a transfer request, Everton could step in with a transfer deadline day deal. Moyesy has always admired him. (28/01/05)

Before Barry went to Blackburn, David Moyes said: "I have an interest in Barry Ferguson and I have done for months and months. He is another name I would love to have at Everton but potentially I don’t know if we have the finances, which would meet with what Rangers are after." (25/08/03)

But Blue Bill Missed out

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Rangers

64. Dianbobo Balde

Bobo (to his mates) maybe surplus to requirements, as hasn't signed a contract and Celtic have just signed redshite Henchman. Boro have said they would want him if he comes available. (26/01/05)

There were rumours last year about Bobo coming here.

Blue Kipper says

63. Joseba Etxeberria

Moyesy apparently has made a last ditch effort to reinforce his squad, by making a bid of £5.55m for Athletic Bilbao and Spain forward Joseba Etxeberria. Jose as his mates call him was flattered by Everton's bid, but realised that most Spanish players in the Premiership can't hack it, so decided not to come. He done his research on his country men over at Analfield, and decided Bilbao was home for him.

Jose says: "It's true that both Athletic and I know something about this - but it's also true I told the club president I am very happy at Bilbao. As a professional, I'm honoured that a club like Everton have considered me as a reinforcement." (25/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

62. David Thompson

It is believed that a bid close to £3m has been made for Thommo(to his mates). Blackburn have rejected the bid. Moyesy is keen on the tough tackling midfielder. Thomo has just got back to full fitness and can score goals. He is a great little player with a Billy Boots kind of shot. As an Evertonian he will be keen to play at Goodison Park. Blackburn need some cash for a striker after paying out £3m for Lili. (21/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

61.Marcelo Romero

David Moyes is ready to turn his attention to Malaga midfielder Marcelo Romero according to sources in Spain. Romero, or Omar to his mates, is a Uruguayan international, and has been in good form of late. It has been suggested that Everton will have representatives in attendance to watch Malaga's next game against Atletico Madrid.

Omar says: ''I have no more news than the newspapers. Officially, they have not spoken with me but I believe my agent is preparing subjects for me.'' (19/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

60. Olivier Dacourt

Former Everton favourite, Ollie (to his mates) is rumoured to be a possible replacement if Tommy goes to Madrid. He joined Everton, after Walter Smith signed him from Strasbourg in 1998 for £3.8m and Left for Lens in 1999 for £6.5m. He played 32 times scoring 3 goals (1 against the shite) and was booked 13 times. Dirty bastard. Now with Roma after a spell at Leeds. West Brom are thought to be after him. What do they say never go back?

Ollie's Italian agent Giorgio de Giorgis says: "We received an offer from England but the squad did not meet his satisfaction. If a concrete proposal arrived this month then I believe the club would look at it seriously." (13/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

59. Michael Tonge

Reports that Everton had made a £750,000 bid for the England Under-21 midfield international have been denied by Sheffield United.

Blades vice-chairman Terry Robinson says: "Our policy is to improve our playing staff rather than weaken it. " (13/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

58. Jason Koumas

The rumours are still about that Jason may end up at Everton. (21/01/05)

Rumours from the Wirral, that he's homesick again. Classy player going forward, but still questions about him proving himself at the top flight.

In November 2003, Moyesy said: "We are monitoring targets in central midfield.I would hate to think there is any team who scouts more than we do. We do need a central midfielder but we have to raise the funds. Jason Koumas is an excellent talent and we have watched him but West Brom do not want to sell their best players." (01/11/03)

Koumas Last Season

Blue Kipper says

57. Phil Jagielka

A Sheffield Utd midfield player, who has played in defence and attack. Jags (to his mates) is only 22 has played 156 games scoring 9 goals with the Blades. He has been a reular for the last 3 seasons, hardly missing a match.

Blue Kipper says

56. Jermaine Pennant

Returned to Arsenal at the start of the season, but has not become a regular in the first team. Great engine and and a gifted midfield player.

Pennant last season

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Birmingham

55. Wayne Routledge

Wayne (Wayne to his mates) Routledge, 19 has rejected an a new £12,000 per week five-year contract, which has alerted the usual clubs. Routledge, whose deal expires at the end of the season could go on a Bosman in the Summer. Palace must now decide if they can put him up for sale or hang on to him and see if he changes his mind. Comes as no surprise that Stretford the ssssnake is his agent. Sounds familiar. Young boy. Been at the club for 8 years. Along comes sid, promising him more money than he can spend. His head is turned. We know the rest.

Eagles boss Iain Dowie says: "Wayne has intimated to me there won't be a positive response to the new deal." (11/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

54. Stilian Petrov

Latchezar Tanev, Stili's agent denied any talks have taken place between Celtic, Everton or Stili. Latch says: "I have no information from Celtic or any contact from Everton regarding Stilian. He is happy at Celtic and he is playing at a high level. I don't think there is anything at the moment, but that could change in the summer. If he was to change club it would take a good offer as he has a good contract until June 2007. There has always been interest in Stilian as he is playing well for Celtic and Bulgaria." (12/01/05)

Classy midfield player, who can score goals in Scotland for Celtic. Stili (to his mates) is now the Bulgarian captain. Celtic don't want to let him go. Moyesy saw him in the Old Firm game at the weekend. But then he saw all the players. (11/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

53. Fernando Ricksen

Everton bid revealed.

Rangers Chairman David Murray says: "Everton made quite a big push and offered us money to take him away two days before the transfer window shut. It was quite a substantial sum but we wouldn't entertain it." (07/02/05)

Dutch International, who took time to settle at Rangers. But is now established in the Gers defence. Mainly a full back, but has played in midfield. Moyesy saw him at the Glasgow Derby last weekend. The 28 year old would cost about £2m.

Blue Kipper says

52. Guillaume Plessis

Everton have signed Guillaume Plessis on loan till the end of the season. The 20yr old central midfielder, who also likes pushing out on the right, has impressed Moyesy that much, that he is willing to give him a loan deal, with the view to a permanent transfer come the Summer. Gilly to his mates is leaving Lens were he has failed to crack the first team. You never know, you never know.

Plessis says: "I am delighted to have joined a club of Everton’s stature and I am looking forward to continuing my career here in England. The move here is a big opportunity for me and I have been impressed already by the manager, my new team-mates and the facilities on offer at the club." (28/01/05)

Moyesey is set to run the rule over the impressive 19 year old Plessis (Gilly to his mates) during a weeks trial with the toffees. Yet to make his first team debut with French club Lens, Gilly has made a big impression in training where he is showing his ability to perform in midfield as his defensive qualities are improving. This is in contrast to his more attacking role he played for the French U 17 side where he bagged a couple of goals. But as we get older we all start moving back in position, don't we? (11/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Everton

51. Emmanuel Adebayor

Shedi will only move if Monaco coach Didier Deschamps thinks he's surplus to requirements.
Shedi says:
"So far I am still a Monaco player. It is true I have a lot of contacts from France and abroad. I can confirm I had contacts with Paris, Toulouse and Everton. Other clubs who want to remain secret also contacted me. Toulouse, Everton and Paris are all very keen to get me.
For the moment I don't want to leave Monaco. I will meet coach Didier Deschamps soon. Considering what he will say I will take a decision." (11/01/05)

Shedi (to his mates),even though he is only 20 years old, he has scored 8 goals this season for Monaco. He signed from Metz in 2003 after scoring 13 goals in 34 games. The Togo international played some part in all Monaco's 13 Champions league games last season, scoring 1 goal. He also scored 8 times in 31 Ligue 1 games. A tall skillful forward (a la Kanu). (06/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

50. Mathias Kouo-Doumbe

The plymouth centre half had a decent game against Everton. He won a few headers and passed the ball well. But on this performance alone, we doubt if Moyesy will persue him. (11/01/05)

Matt (to his mates) Doumbe is a 25 year old French Under 21 International. The strong tackling centre half, started out as a midfield player at Paris St German. He went to Hibs and then followed manager Bobby Williamson to Plymouth in the Summer. Moyesy has kept tabs on him this season and will see the pacey defender first hand on Saturday when he lines up against the Toffees in The FA Cup. (06/01/05)

Blue Kipper says

49. Jeremy Mathieu

The 21 year old left footed striker has caught the eye of various scouts. Sochaux's young talent, Jeremy (Jerry to his mates) Mathieu plays in France for Sochaux. He played against Newcastle in a Uefa Cup tie this season

Newcastle United, Southampton and Everton are interested. (30/12/04)

Blue Kipper says

48.Yakubu Aiyegbeni

Portsmouth have said that The Yak can go if a club matches their evaluation. Everton will have to compete with Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Middlesbrough for the 22 year old. Portsmouth would want around £12m. It's high because half of this fee would go to his former club Maccabi Haifa. They are negotiating with them to try and reduce the sky high asking price.

Pompey chairman, Mandaric says: "We don't want to sell Yakubu. He is a top-quality player and we need players of his calibre but you can never say never. No one has made an offer for him yet but I think that may change. Maccabi Haifa are working with us. They are good allies with us and their goal is to maximise the price. The price has to be right. But I've heard nothing and I don't want to because we don't want to sell him. Losing Yakubu would put us in the position of needing to find another striker. I'd prefer to stay positive and hope Yakubu doesn't go. But if we do sell key guys like Yakubu, we will look to replace them." (11/01/05)

Moyesy has hinted he is still in the hunt for another striker. After watching him score a great goal on Tuesday, Moyesy will have to decide whether to go after another striker in a fight with Villa. (06/01/05)

If a deal with James Beattie falls through, then a bid of £5m to £6m could secure 'The Yak' for Everton. His International captain, Joey Yobo would welcome the signing. The Yak's agent Barry Silkman says: "There are a number of clubs showing an interest. I don't want to get specific, but it is pretty strong - although the matter is up to Portsmouth to decide. Yakubu is an ambitious player and has done a wonderful job for Portsmouth, which is why there is such interest in him." (29/12/04)

Blue Kipper says

47. Olivier Bernard

Newcastle are in talks with Chelsea full back Babayaro. This could signal the end of Olee's Newcastle career. (28/12/04)

Everton are said to be interested in signing Newcastle left back, Olivier Bernard (Olee to his mates). If they wait until the summer they can sign him on a Bosman free transfer at the end of his Newcastle United deal. The skunks have tried to sign him on a long deal, but he hasn't signed to date.

Newcastle chairman Fat Freddy Shepherd says:“We have tried to come to a compromise with Olivier Bernard and his representatives and we have made what we consider a very good offer. It's an improved offer and we are hoping that he decides to sign it and play for us for the next five years." (18/12/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Southampton

46. Robbie Savage

Even though he signed a new 4 year contract with Birmingham, rumours still fly around about him coming to Everton. The latest load of bollocks started because he said the following:

Lily says: "I believe it's an insult to Everton that they are not even rated worthy of a mention in the same breath as the title challengers," he said. "Who is to say David Moyes won't bring in the fresh faces in January to help them go all the way?"

Yes Moyesy will bring in new players. You won't be one of them. Lily rumours last season

Blue Kipper says: No Kippers

Signed For Blackburn

45. Simon Davies

Reports late last night suggested that Everton had a bid of £4.5m for Davies rejected by Spurs, but when the Cockney club rushed through the signings of Forest pair Reid and Dawson for a combined £8m fee, there were mad discussions trying to sign Davies, but we ran out of time or Spurs said no chance. You decide. (01/02/05)

Talks have taken place over the week-end with Spurs, but it looks like a deal won't happen.

Bully says:""We have been in discussions with Tottenham over the weekend but no conclusion has been reached."(31/01/05)

The transfer merry go round for January enters its final week, and if our sources are correct Simon Davies may be an Everton player by the end of it. It looks certain that Palace youngster Wayne Routledge will be off to Spurs, so that should force Tottenham into lowering their asking price for a player Moyesy has enquired about. The Spurs board were demanding £5m for Davies, and rightly Moyesy was not prepared to pay it. With the arrival of Routledge though, Spurs will no doubt drop their asking price for the Welsh International who has struggled to make an impact under Martin Jol. (24/01/05)

Has fallen out of favour with new Spurs coach, Jol so could be on the Jan Sales list. But if Spurs want silly money for the Welsh International winger, then it could be a no no. (10/12/04)

Blue Kipper says

44. Kristian Sarkies and Adrian Leijer

Kristian Sarkies and Adrian Leijer, both 18, are to follow fellow Aussie Tiny Tim to Goodison but only for a trial. Sarkies, like Tiny is a goalscoring midfielder, whilst Leijer is a defender. The two Aussie's (pictured right) are looked upon as two of the most promising youngster's at the moment down under. We at bluekipper.com would not resort in any shape form or manner in using stereo typical images of the two Australians, who for the life of us, we can't find a photo of anywhere. (02/12/04)

Blue Kipper says

43.George McCartney

Paul's brother George McCartney, is the latest of a line of players to be linked to with a move to Everton in January. The 23yr old Northern Ireland International has made over 100 appearances for Sunderland in the left back position, and if the rumour mill is true, Moyesy likes what he has seen.

McCartney says: "I haven't heard anything. When anyone gets linked with a Premiership club, it can only be flattering - you know it shows you're doing well." (02/12/04)

Blue Kipper says

42. Phil Neville

The ugly Chuckle Brother is not happy at not holding down a regular place this season. But he's never held down a regular place. He would look out of place with so many good looking lads in the squad. Reports say he may be used to get Tommy Grav to Old Trafford. Stranger things have happened at sea. (21/11/04)

Blue Kipper says

41 Robbie Keane

A £7m bid will secure him from Spurs. Apparently Robbie is not happy with the management at Tottingham and wants out. This will take nearly all of Moyesy's transfer budget. Keane has scored goals every where he's gone. (21/11/04)

Blue Kipper says

40. Paulo Negro

According to some reports, Moyesy is tracking Italian defender Paulo Negro who is currently in contract talks with his current club Lazio. Lazio it seems have put a cap on players future earnings, so Paulo would feel at home then at Goodison. Paulo we are told is keen to team up with Everton's other Italian superstar, 'Sandro Pistone, to see who can wear their socks the highest. (23/11/04)

Blue Kipper says

39. Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam

Egyptian striker Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam is unhappy at Roma and is keen for a transfer to the Premiership, according to his agent. With Montella, Cassano and Delvecchio in attack, he has not had a chance to play for Roma. The 21 year old was at French side Marseille last season and has had a spell at Ajax.

His agent, Christophe Henrotay says: "They (Manchester City and Southampton) are still looking for a striker, and there may be other possibilities. I know Everton manager David Moyes well and he knows of the player but we don't need to talk to each other every two minutes." (19/11/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Spurs

38. Bradley Orr

Everton are ready to make a £1m bid for Brad in the January sales. (21/11/04)

Started at Newcastle, but didn't make a first team appearance. Now at Bristol City and getting some good reviews for his performances this season. The scouser would relish the chance to come back to Merseyside. (15/11/04)

Blue Kipper says

37. Brede Hangeland

It looks like Everton may have a challenge from Spurs for the signature of promising Norwegian defender Brede Hangeland. Martin Jol, Spurs new boss is a keen admirer of Brede, or Bredeotsindom for short. Jol had the defender watched at Craven Cottage last week, as he came on in the last fifteen minutes in Norway's draw with the Socceroo's. No bids as yet have been tabled by any club for the Viking Stavanger player, and it is believed he will be on offer for around £3m come January. Everton may though hold the trump card, after Brede spent a week at Bellefield on trial. The tall Norwegian is said to be keen on coming to the Blues, so fuck off Spurs. (24/11/04)

It looks as if Everton will have to fork out in the region of £3m to sign defender Brede Hangeland from Norwegian side Viking Stavanger. Ex Blackburn boss Roy Hodgson, now Viking's manager has recommended the tall centre half to Moyesy, who ran the rule over him at Bellefield last week. If selected Brede can be viewed on Sky tonight when his Norway side, take on Tim Cahill's Socceroo's at Fulham's Craven Cottage, in a friendly International.

Viking Director Hans-Oyvind Sagen says: "Brede impressed Everton boss David Moyes very much. We will meet with Brede and our manager Roy Hodgson to discuss progress with Everton."

Brede says: "I am very happy with the way my trial went at Everton. It has always been my dream to play in the Premiership and I hope the clubs can reach an agreement. It would be a great career move and I'm not afraid to take it. I've been waiting for Everton's call."

Roy Hodgson says: "David Moyes called to ask if he was good enough to play in the Premier League. Brede is definitely good enough for the Premiership. I told Moyes that. Even though he will be impossible to replace, I cannot lie when one of my friends asks for advice." (16/11/04)

Everton are giving a good looking over to Norwegian bean pole Brede Hangeland. The 23-year-old centre-back, who will begin a week-long trial at the club's Bellefield training base on Tuesday morning, has been a long-term target of David Moyes. Brede or Bredeotsindom for short, is looking forward to make an impression at Goodison in his trial week. If Moyesy likes what he see's, Brede will be available for around £1.7m, from Viking Stavanger.

Brede says: "I'm going to Everton this week to meet with David Moyes and discuss things. I will try to make a good impression on and off the field. I hope it is a nice club. Everton have had a serious interest in me for quite a while and I have been waiting for their call. It would be a great step forward for my career and I am not afraid to take it." (02/11/04)

Blue Kipper says

36. Ifeanyi Ekwueme

Joey Yobo's International team mate, Iffy (to his mates) is available on a free transfer. Currently with Polish side Wisla Plock, the 24 year old midfielder turned down a new contract at Wisla and they refused to pay him. Iffy has won 26 caps for Nigeria and appeared in the African Nations Cup.
Ray Warner, his agent says: "There are a couple of clubs in Germany interested but he has set his heart on England." (21/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

35. Robert Huth

The Chelsea defender is not getting a game at the moment, and is not the new coaches signing. He may be made available in the January sales. He has just been included in the German National squad. (08/10/04)

34. Johann Davidsen

Everton have signed 6'1'' Faroe Islander defender Johann Davidsen. The sixteen year old who still has some growing in him, according to Ray Hall, chose the Blues ahead of Charlton, and The Harlem Globe Trotters. Ray is delighted, as as well as obtaining his skills on the pitch, he has got back at least twelve balls that were stuck on the roof at the Netherton complex.

Ray Hall Of The Grumbleweeds says: "At 6'1" he's still growing. He's a good tackler and, when he's in possession, he doesn't waste the ball. He enjoyed his time on Merseyside and that was why he decided to sign for us. He's a quick, strong typically European centre half." (12/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

33. Mark Wilson

Apparently Moyesy went to watch Wilson play for the Scottish under-21’s this week and was pleased with what he saw. (19/11/04)

The Scottish centre half is putting all thoughts about moving 'darn sarf' behind him. He just wants to concentrate on playing. He may not move yet as he points to Jamie McFadden as a player who can't get in the Everton side.

Mark says: "I had a bit of this last season as well but I put it to the back of my mind because I hadn't played too many games. I didn't think it was realistic then and I don't now either. I still haven't played many games and need to concentrate on establishing myself in the United first team. It would be foolish to go down south when you've not played enough games and end up not living up to your potential.

Look at James McFadden. He's a great player who was playing week in, week out up here but now has a fight to get into the Everton team. It's more important to get experience up here first before I think about anything else." (10/10/04)

Everton are being linked with Dundee United's Mark Wilson. The twenty year old is highly rated, so much so that United's boss Ian McCall has slapped a fee of around £1m plus to prize the youngster South.

Dundee United Boss Ian McCall says: "Mark is a wonderful young player and I believe his development would be best served by remaining at Dundee United, at least for the next season and a half. It would take a few quid for Mark to go to Everton or anywhere else for that matter. It took £1.2 million for James McFadden to go to Everton from Motherwell and we rate Mark in that kind of bracket." (07/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

32. Emil Hallfredsson

Everton agreed a fee with the Emil's club, but have not yet agreed terms with the player. Now Spurs have been alerted to the fact and have invited him to spend four days with them. Lets hope this is not because of the lack of funds and it's not a sign of things to come. (10/11/04)

Some reports say Everton have put in a bid to Hallfredsson's club FH Hafnarfjordur. (24/10/04)

Everton will cast the eye over young Icelander Emil Hallfredsson, when he comes to Bellefield for a week's trial next week. Emil or Emily for short, is regarded as one of the best young players in Iceland and was voted the best young player last year. The teenager helped his side win the league last season, scoring four goals in 16 games.

If he was to sign for the Blues, one part to his contract is to dye his hair blue, as only Moyesy is allowed to have that shade of maroon for his barnet. (06/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

31. Michael Dawson

Daws (to his mates) is an England U21 International. The 20 year old has starred for Forest in the heart of the defence. He is an aggressive defender and noted for his long passes (ala Stubbsey on a good day) (04/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Spurs

30. Dean Ashton

Norwich have signed Deano for £3m. (11/01/05)

Even his manager, Dario Gradi is saying he's bound to move on in the Summer, but if they get a good bid in January, then he will listen. Everton will be joined by Brum, Norwich, Spurs & Bolton in a fight for his signature.

Dario says: "You always think he is going to score goals. When he shoots, you think he is going to score. And he's a big powerful lad - he can do a bit of everything. I would think he would be the latest one to leave Crewe. He will go I would have thought. The aim is that he moves on in the summer, that's the objective. Obviously, if someone came in in January and made us an offer we cannot refuse and it seemed like a good deal for Dean, then we would listen to it. But ideally, he should move on, he's ready for the next challenge." (19/12/04)

Deano is still being mentioned in dispatches, regarding a move in January. (16/12/04)

Everton have been linked with Deano (to his mates) for a couple of seasons now. His 1st season was hampered by injury, but the striker still scored 10 times in 32 games as a 17 year old in 2001/02. In 2002/03 he scored 16 goals for Crewe in 45 appearances. Last season he netted 20 goals and won his first caps for the England U21s team. This season he has 3 goals in the first four matches, Deano could be worth a shout. (03/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

Signed For Norwich

29. Leighton Baines

With his Wigan team flying high in the Championship (the old second division) Bainsey is attraccting attention from other Premiership clubs including Man Utd.

Bainesy says: "I am generally pleased with my own form and I'm certainly feeling more and more confident all the time. I've also read in the papers about Everton supposedly being interested - I just treat this as tittle tattle - I'm quite level headed and laid back so I don't really take notice about what things are being said about me." (18/12/ 04)

Another young left back, who is attracting attention. Just got in the England U21 squad. Wigan manager, ex-redshite Paul Jewel will want to hang onto the 19 year old. (03/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

28. Dan Harding

Brighton boss Mark McGhee says: “We know there is interest there from a number of clubs and we are trying very hard indeed to secure him on a longer contract at Brighton. Unfortunately, Daniel isn't keen to do that at this stage and that might well mean we have to sell him in January.” (19/11/04)

Everton have been linked with Brighton and England U21 International, Dan. He can play left back or left midfield. An offer to cash strapped Brighton will be hard to refuse.
Seagulls manager, Mark McGee says: "We are hoping to have a meeting with Dan and his representatives in the next week or so. Dan has stated he wants to stay at the club and we are pleased he has put everyone's mind at rest.
Everton or any other club would not be doing their jobs properly if they did not see good young players around the country. If they are interested in Dan Harding they will eventually come and tell us, but it is pure and utter speculation at the moment." (03/10/04)

Blue Kipper says

27. Dario Simic

Everton are being linked with a move for AC Milan defender Dario Simic. Simic has sounded out a move to England when the transfer window re opens in January, as he is pissed off playing for the Milan rezzies. With Moyesy apparently an admirer of Dazz's, and Everton cash rich from player sales, and cash injections, a move may be on the cards for the Croatian International. (22/09/04)

Blue Kipper says

26. Mohammad Ali Karimi

Ali Karimi (Al to his mates) is a super star in Iran. They call 25 year old Al, 'The wizard of Tehran'. Ali Karimi scored 27 goals for The Dubai team, Al Ahli last season in the United Arab Emerites League . He scored the 2 goals that won Al Ahli the Cup. He is the top scorer in UAE league this season with 14 goals. For his country, Iran, Karimi was the star of the show in Asian Cup 2004 where he helped Iran to 3rd place and scoring 5 goals as a joint top scorer. He is now looking to join a Premiership club with money to spend. Enter Everton. (18/09/04)

Another wrap on the knuckles for one of us. The transfer could go through now because he is a free agent.(09/09/04)

This is a strange one this. He wasn't taken on by Bolton and he is looking for a Premiership club in January. Even though he is 37 next March he is a class act. Wonder why big Sam didn't keep him on? Maybe a pay as you go jobby. (05/09/04)

24. Benni McCarthy

Last season was McCarthy's best ever as he top-scored in the Portuguese league and, more importantly, helped Porto to clinch the prestigious Uefa Champions League.

But he has also always nurtured a dream of playing in the English Premier League. While at Celta Vigo of Spain, moves to both Middlesbrough and Aston Villa were scuppered at the last minute. So imagine McCarthy's delight this week when it emerged that, due to the imminent departure of Wayne Rooney for Manchester United, Everton were looking to sign him.

Benni says: "Sometimes I wish I was not Benni McCarthy. The deal was done, I had agreed everything with Everton. I was expecting to go to the Democratic Republic of Congo (for Bafana's 2006 World Cup qualifier on Sunday) buzzing, thinking about going to play in Liverpool."

McCarthy was even supposed to go to the British Embassy in Pretoria on Tuesday to finalise his work permit before the evening's transfer deadline. Then, at the last minute, lightning struck in the same way for a third time for him. According to the striker, Porto president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa decided he did not want to let his No 77 go. Porto have also just splashed out a reported $15,7-million on Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano, which must surely leave McCarthy's chances of regular first-team starts hanging in the balance.

Benni says: "If you pay that much money, you expect the player to play." (02/09/04)
Thanks to bluekipper.com reporter, Tom Duncan.

Benni is due to sign for Everton before today's deadline. (31/08/04)

22. Martin Rowlands

Now Moyesy has a few bob to spend, we may move for QPR midfielder Martin Rowlands. The fee would be about £750,000. The Irish under 21 International moved from Brentford to QPR in the Summer. (29/08/04)

21. James Beattie

James Beattie was traveling from Bellefield, Goodison and the hospital for his medical today. He seemed relaxed and signed some autographs for the fans. Moyesy was very cautious when he spoke to the media. He will no doubt give a full and frank interview when the signing is completed.

Moyesy says: “If we get him then hopefully he can give us goals as we believe of what is currently available he is the best around and has as good a goal scoring record as anyone in the Premiership. We are quite down the road with a medical at the present time and I am sure everyone understands that with a deal this size it takes a while to sort out.” (03/01/05) Thanks to Jodders for Photos.

Moyesy we can confirm has landed his man, with James Beattie agreeing to join the Blues, subject to a medical on Monday morning. The bid believed to be in the region of £6.5m, with wages starting around £23k in his first year. Moyesy has been tracking the England International since the Summer, and after negotiations with Villa, and Newcastle, Beattie has thought his best chance of European football is with the Blues. Welcome to Paradise James. (02/01/05)

Everton have had a bid of around £6.5m accepted by Southampton. Everton have spoken to his agent and our sources say that Everton have offered him around £23,000 a week, which will rise each season. He wants around £30,000 a week. Everton are reluctant to go along the Ferguson, Campbell wages structure again. They are still talking.

Moyesy says: “I can only say that we have made an offer for him which was accepted and that’s as far as I can say at the present time. I don’t know what will happen but hopefully he will sign for Everton.”

We can reveal that Villa's initial bid was not accepted by Southampton, but they have come up with a package which is now acceptable to them. The deal will be the same as Everton's bid, but the down payment is more at the beginning. Confused? You bet. They are now talking to Beattie's people.

Saints manager, Harry Redknapp says: "It is just down to him now and I hope we should know on Monday because we want to get it done quickly. I believe the fee is around £6.5m but I don't know which of them are looking more likely to get him."

This looks as if it will be decided in a couple of days. Basically Beattie will choose whoever pays the most and that may not be us. Watch this space. (02/01/05)

Looks like a straight choice between us and Villa. James must decide who, as both clubs are reluctant to go over the £6m mark. Villa were reported to have tapped Beattie in the Summer, but nothing happened. If he talks to Moyesy, he should pick Everton. We should know within days. (31/12/04)

Beattie was left out of the Southampton side today. When asked why, Harry says: " To be honest I spoke to James this morning about 1 or 2 clubs making enquires about him and then decided to leave him out. I believe that we could sign 2 or 3 players, that could help us out of this situation and we have to raise that money somehow. "

Our contacts on the South coast believe he is ready to move north and look for a club, who are in with a chance of Europe next season. Everton have already made inquiries. The £4m suggested will need to be increased to £6m to meet the player, then it's down to Moyes and Beattie. (28/12/04)

A week after telling the world that James Beattie is going nowhere, new Saints Boss Harry Redknapp, must have had his first bollicking off Chairman Rupert Lowe. He has turned full circle, and is actively touting the young Engaland International to the highest bidder. Everton have been constantly linked with the forward, and hopefully with European football on offer next season with the Blues, Everton could beat the likes of Villa and the rest to the chase.

Harry Now Says: "If it means getting three or four players in for the sake of selling one to make a better team, that's the way to go. He's a good lad and has a contract here. We want to keep him to the end of the season but we need new faces. We need to strengthen somehow. You want to keep your better players if you can and, in an ideal world, I'd like to keep him and build a team around him but sometimes you have to sell." (22/12/04)

New Southampton boss, Harry Redknapp has pleaded with his chairman to try to keep hold of Beattie when the sales begin. It sounds desperate. Let's hope it lands on deaf ears.

Harry says: "James Beattie is under contract and if I don't want him to go he doesn't go - not at the moment. You can't be getting rid of your best players. It is a recipe for going down. The situation we are in we've got to hang onto them if it is in our hands and Beattie's got a contract. He can score goals and it is not as if he can just walk away because he is injured in any case. At the end of the day it is down to the chairman if he is sold or not but he must realise this club has been good for him." (14/12/04)

Former Professional and fat bastard Mick Quinn, who is a commentator 'darn sarf' thinks a move to Everton would be a good move for Beattie. Couldn't agree more Mick. Another pie?

Quinny says: "I think James Beattie would be a great signing. I am surprised Newcastle haven't shown more interest in him because I think he could be a ready-made replacement for Alan Shearer. He has got two good feet, is great in the air and leads the line well. So it doesn't surprise me that somebody like David Moyes is interested in him. He is definitely capable of providing you with 20 goals a season and under another England manager I am sure he would have had more caps. He has been unlucky on that score. But his chances could be helped by a move. I think he is primed to get away."
(15/10/04)

With Moyesy having four months to plot his move in the transfer market, James Beattie we are told is heading his list of signings when the window re-opens in January. Everton who made a last minute offer of £7m, for the Southampton front man, where not willing to meet Rupert Lowe's valuation for the England striker, which was £8m. With time running out, Moyesy pulled out of the deal, and will wait for the January sales before making his move, with his newly found nest egg. (03/09/04)

James Beattie is attracting the attention of Moyesy, as we go in search of a replacement for Rooney. James who is known to his mates as James, is said to be keen to move back up north, after all the shenanigans at The Dell this Summer. So if Moyesy is cash rich from the sale of Rooney, Mr. Lowe at Saints may be getting a call. (28/08/04)

20. Milan Dudic

Moyesy is tracking Serbia and Montenegro international defender Milan Dudic. No don't worry, he is no relation to the shite's keeper, who loves letting goals in at his near post, but a Serbian centre half. Dudic's club Crvena Zvezda, have confirmed that Everton have been in touch over the Serbian centre half. Moyesy had watched Dudic in action in Belgrade last Wednesday during Crvena Zvezda's 3-2 Champions League victory over PSV Eindhoven. Moyesy also traveled to Ljubljana on Wednesday to view Dudic during his country's international friendly against Slovenia. In a long winded statement, a spokesman for the club confirmed that the Blues had been in touch.

A Crvena Zvezda Spokesman says: "We have had contact from Everton" (19/08/04)

19. Jurgen Colin

The deal with Colin has been called off. He joined in the training session in this morning, but his agent and Everton officials couldn't agree a deal due to an unspecified hitch. Another frustrating episode on the transfer front.

David Moyes says:"At the present time the deal is off."(13/08/04)

The PSV Endoven defender is to discuss terms for a possible year long loan period on Friday. If all goes well and he signs before noon on Friday, then he may go straight into the squad to play against the gooners on Sunday.

Georgie (to his mates) is only 23 and favours the right back position, but has played in the centre of defence as well as wide right. He had a spell on loan at Dutch side NAC.

18. Giourkas Seitaridis

Blue Kipper's man in Amsterdam, Keno the clog, has reported that Panathiniakos, who played in the tournament at Ajax, that Gerry (to his mates) has agreed to sign for Everton. The 23 year old right back / midfielder played in Greek Euro 2004 side.He had a great tournie. Panathiniakos rejected offers from Porto, Valencia and Monaco before accepting Everton's bid. Obviously those teams never had the ready cash. We did, but it had the word 'monopoly' on every note. He will play in the olympics before joining Everton.

17. Peter Lovenkrands

Lovie (to his mates) may be about to join us from Glasgow Rangers as a replacement for the little fella, who missed loads of sitters. With the arrival of Dado Prso from Monaco, Lovie is pushed out. The Blues may have a bit of leverage with the money still owed to us for the sale of Michael Ball. £2m price tag though. (27/07/04)

16. Christian Gimenez

Everton are supposed to be interested in signing Jimmy (to his mates) from F.C. Basle as he is looking for a move away from the Swiss league and into the premiership. The striker, who has played in the Champions league and scored against Manure, is valued at around £1.5 million. (27/07/04)

Blue Kipper says

15. Mark van Bommel

Everton could be making a fresh bid for Dutch midfielder Mark van Bommel. Reports indicate that Moyesy watched van Bommel in Tuesdays Champions League match at Highbury. Moyesy also took in My Fair Lady in the West End, and said it was an absolute classic. (16/09/04)

Van Bommel doesn't want to join the Toffees. The Dutch midfielder told the Dutch press that he wants a larger club and that Everton are smaller than his present club PSV. (27/07/04)

Moyesy has confirmed his interest in the Dutch midfielder. It is believed a figure of around £2.5m would be enough to secure the PSV's players signature. Everton are believed to be looking at a fifty eight year repayment schedule.

Moyesy says: "We are chasing one or two players at the moment and he is one of several players we would like to bring to Goodison." (25/07/04)

News has it that Bill Kenwright flew out to Holland this morning to see PSV chappies to try and sign Mark van Bommel. That would be a signing.(23/07/04)

14. Brahim Hemdani

More rumours that Brad may be in talks with Everton. (20/07/04)

Brad (to his mates), was part of Marseille's European bid last season. Can play right full back, right midfield or a holding central midfield role. The 26 year old has been capped by the French at U21 level.
Moyesy says: "Hemdani is a player we have interest in." (08/07/04)

13. Seyi Olofinjana

George (to his mates, honest) is a Nigerian International midfield player, currently trying to wangle a move to Monaco, but he's not happy with the terms offered. So his agent is saying that Premiership clubs, including Everton are interested, but he may go to Wolves. Yes We know! (28/06/04)

12. Marek Heinz

The Czech Republics Marek Heinz is apparently catching the eye of Everton's Davey Moyes. Heinz who has been used as a sub in this Summers tournament, has come on and found the onion bag twice. He is now plying his trade back in his homeland for Banik Ostrava, after an unsuccessful spell at Germany's Hamburg. (24/06/04)

Blue Kipper says

11. Phillipe Christanval

Marseille central defender, Phil (to his mates) has said he wants to try his look in the Premiership, so Everton are supposed to be interested. Phil has played for Monaco and Barcelona in the Champions League and is only 26 years old. He has always been on the fringes of the National team, but never quite made it. (23/06/04)

10. Paul Connolly

Played well against Everton. Beattie got booked for clattering into him. (10/01/05)

Plymouth full back has been at the forefront of Plymouth's promotion push. Only 20 years of age, Paul is the type of young, enthusiastic player, Moyesy wants to bring to the club. He's an Evertonian born and bred in the City. (19/05/04)

9. Owen Hargreaves

Bayern have put a £8m price tag on him. If only Blue Bill could get a cash injection of say £20m. Yer never know? (15/08/04)

Recently signed a new deal, but with his Bayern manager sacked. It may force things and Owen has said he would like to come to the Premiership. He'd fancy lining up with Joe Cole, Jermaine Pennant & the Duke. Dream on! (18/05/04)

Blue Kipper says

8. Derek Riordan

The Hibs striker/midfielder may be available to Moyesy in the Summer. Deggsey (to his mates) scored his 18th goal of the season on Saturday.

With boss Bobby Williamson leaving Hibs for Plymouth recently, the club are still to appoint a manager and maybe ready to cash in on Riordan.

Riordan is only 21 and is the type of energetic young player Moyesy is after. (03/05/04)

Blue Kipper says

7. Mohamed Kallon

Inter star striker Moe(to his mates) is once again available after his ban for failing a drugs test ended. Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Palmero are all interested Italy and Everton have been mentioned.

Kallon tested positive for nandrolone and was handed an 8 month ban, which was later cut to 6 months on appeal, meaning the Striker is once more available for Inter.

But Moe will be on the bench with Adriano and Vieri first choice. (03/05/04)

5. Michael Ball

Due to the transfer fee problems with Rangers, Bally may come back in January. (19/09/04)

Bally's name has popped up again. Moyesy has a few bob to spend before Tuesday. Bally isn't in the Rangers team. (29/08/04)

Bally has been put on the transfer list at Rangers. This may mean we never get the cash owed from the original deal. (08/07/04)

Rangers need to reduce their wage bill. Sounds familiar! Apparently Rangers have asked Everton if they would have him back. There are a few things for and against a possible move before the bluekipper.com player of the season for 2001 would come back.

For:
Former Everton star is his agent(see Against). Top drawer player when fit. Bally would love to come back to Everton. Fit and 1st choice for Rangers. Moyesy needs to sign defenders. Still only 24. Moyesy could use Unsey to go to Rangers in a swop deal to reduce the price. He's an Evertonian.

Against: Former Everton star is his agent(see For). His wages are sky high. Would he take a big reduction in wages. Jeffers mark 2 waiting to happen! Still some doubt over his injured knee. Never go back! (30/04/04)

4. Pablo Ibanez

Everton are known to be tracking the progress of Albacete's defender Pablo Ibanez. With no resolution in Unsey's contract wrangle, and with Davey Weir not getting any younger, Moyesy is known to be keen on adding a good young stopper to his ranks. The Spanish Under 21 International is said to fit Moyesy's bill.

Pablo says: "I don't know anything more than the fact he was here, and nobody spoke to me. But I am delighted that I have been linked with one of the English league's most historic clubs. Everything depends on the club because I have a contract with them. I don't want to go mad about these rumours between now and the end of the season. (22/03/04)

3. Dimitri Bulykin

Dimi (to his mates) scored in Russia's 2-1 win over Greece today at Euro 04. He scored a diving header, and should have scored a second, but headed wide. (20/06/04)

David Moyes is in Portugal running his eyes over a few players. He didn't see much of Dimi during Russia's defeat by Spain, he played as a lone striker and spent most of the game closing down defenders.

Moyesy says: "It was a difficult match to assess him in because Russia were not very ambitious."(15/06/04)

Moyesy was present in Oslo, last night to cast an eye over long term transfer target Dimitri Bulykin. The Russian International, who plays for Dynamo Moscow is gaining enough caps to capture a move to the Premiership from next season. With his involvement in Euro 2004, the Russian striker will then qualify for a work permit, and Moyesy is making sure his homework is done, and he is at the front of the queue to capture his signature. A reported fee of £1.5 million is what it seems Dmitri is available for. (29/04/04)

After a bit of pondering Moyesy said:"He is here until the middle of next week for us to have a look at him. He does not have enough caps just yet to qualify for a work permit. But by the time the summer comes round, and the Euro 2004 finals, he will certainly have played enough." (26/01/04)

Dynamo Moscow claim their Russian international striker Dmitri Bulykin is holding talks with Everton .Everton not being deterred after Victor Onopko refused to come to Goodison, are said to be pondering a move for the Russian striker. Bluekipper.com tried their best to gain a quote off Moyesy, but a club official said he was too busy, as he was pondering. (24/01/04)

2. Andy Reid

The Republic of Ireland international was left out of Notts Forest's weekend game with a mystery injury, increasing the speculation that he is on his way to the premiership. And (to his mates) has scored 7 goals from midfield this season. Everton's main rival for him are Spurs. New Manager and former Everton player, Gary Megson says: "Four clubs have enquired about Andy" (17/01/05)

Regarded as having the best left foot in the 1st Division, Andy has scored 10 goals for Notts Forest from midfield. He has been subject to a £2.5m bid from Spurs, which manager Paul Hart turned down. They want around £4m, which rules us out. (01/01/04)

1. Scott Parker

Moyesy has firmly put the ball in Scott Parker's corner, in trying to tempt the Chelsea bit part player to Goodison. Parker may well be tempted to move from Chelsea in January, as he tries to resurrect his fledgling England career.

Moyesy says: "Scott Parker would certainly be a name we'd be interested in. I expect good players to be attracted to Everton because we are clearly moving in the right direction. They will see us making good progress and they will be aware of this club's history. When you know a club has been there and done it, it does make it more attractive." (06/11/04)

Scott is not happy being left out of the team at his new club, Chelski. He has lost out to Joe Cole, who is getting the nod. He has also lost his England place. There maybe a chance to buy him in the Jan Sales. We would face opposition from his old club, Charlton. He would cost about £5m. Buttons for a mega rich club like us. (02/10/04)

Signed for Chelsea by former coach, Renieri. Has not featured this season with new coach Mourineo. May want to leave to in January so he can play regular to get back into the England set up. Step in Everton. (18/09/04)

Parker signed a 5 year deal with Charlton with the promise if Everton or anyone came in for him next season, Charlton will let him speak to the club. It also means whoever gets him, would have to buy his contract out. (21/07/03)

After the rejection of the bid for Sean Davis, Moyesy may make a bid for Scott. Moyesy says: "He is a player who we have admired in the past, but I have certainly not made any approach to anyone at Charlton and I wouldn't do that until I had spoken to their manager - and at present I have no intention of that." (09/07/03)

A top class young player, who scores from midfield. Has had an outstanding season. Forced his way into the England squad. Would be on anyone's wish list. Charlton have not bought Matt Holland to replace him though. Only a big bid would get him. Anyone know of a new Jack Walker out there? (23/06/03)
